Went from 2.7.1 to 3.0.0 beta, now items that "hide" from taskbar on startup, like a minimized task manager or chameleon clock, stay open on the taskbar. Try it yourself, make a new shortcut to taskmgr.exe and set run: minimized in the shortcut properties. Set your task manager to hide when minimized. Now open task manager with the shortcut = taskbar item. Restore and minimize, taskbar item gone.
