Win2000: 3dfx 1.00.00 Beta drivers. With these drivers, you can use the Voodoo2 as a secondary monitor instead of a 3D-only card! Quite amazing. I didn't notice any problems, except that you're limited to 16-bit color. There are newer drivers available, but from the description it seems that they don't support the Voodoo2 as second monitor, only as 3D-only accelerator.

Win98: 3dfx 3.02.02. You can't use the card as second monitor, only as 3D-only card (as it was intended). Doesn't help if you try to install it as a display adapter instead of a multimedia device.

Unbelievable amount of time to get it to work...but finally it is. If you are interested please call ATI they have my log on the process of trouble shooting this card with the Banshee the two main problems were

1) with the desk.cpl file (windows would give an error when trying to bring up display settings)
fix:
Delete the following key in the Registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Controls Folder\Display\shellex\PropertySheetHandlers
Extract deskw95.cpl from the Windows 98 CD-ROM or .CAB files, rename it to desk.cpl and put it into the windows/system directory. Restart the computer....
***DO NOT just rename the old one...windows uses ANYTHING in the system directory with the cpl extension. If you just rename it to junkdesk.cpl, you will find that you have two "display" icons in the control panel-the old bad one and the new (one from the cd) good one.

2)PCI Resources conflict!!!
This order worked correctly:
slot 1- IDE controller 2-All in wonder 3-empty 4-sound 5- Banshee video

This order would not initialize drivers correctly, made the system hang, etc. (the major source of my problems)
1- ide 2- banshee 3-ATI 4 empty 5-sound

It turned out to be the age old problem of IRQ conflict (I thought this was supposed to go away with plug and play??!!!) The PCI IRQ's are shared in a certain order and if the order is violated (you have conflicting devices sharing the same IRQ) it will not work.
On my Abit BH6:
AGP is shared with slot 1 and 4
Slot 2 is shared with USB and Audio
Slot 3 and 5 are shared. As you can see by my "bad" ordering the Banshee was sharing with the USB and the audio (I'm not quite sure what they meant by audio???--not the sound card). While the sound card was shared with the ATI

By the way, I'm using the Drivers that came on the ATI installation CD Build 101 4.11.6222(not even the newest ones)

The ATI is using:
IRQ5
Memory Range D4000000-D7FFFFFF,...
Input/Ouput Range 03C0-03DF

I am now happily up and running with the all in wonder as the main card and the banshee as the secondary!

Card 2:
PCI, 3dfx Voodoo Banshee chipset
Using drivers that were built on 7/26/1999(4.10.01.0110-3.378)
It is using:
IRQ:11
OA000000-0Bffffff,.....
Input/output Range:
1400-14FF

I have a Creative GeForce Pro (OEM) in my AGP slot and a Diamond Multimedia Viper V550 in a PCI slot. My BIOS is set to initiaize the AGP slot first. I have been able to get the system up under WIN 2000 (with Service Pack 1) using the latest NVidia Detonater 3 (Ver. 5.12) drivers for both cards. When I try and enable the OpenGL for Multiple monitors under the "OpenGL Settings" tab, there is not a checkbox option displayed.
