I intend to perform disfferent tasks on multi monitors using single CPU. Pls. advise if Ultramon is the software that will help me achieve my purpose. Also, will i need a Multi monitor adaptor (external device) to achive connectivity ?

You don't need any additional software to run multiple applications, this is supported out of the box. Do you want to do anything special, for example have multiple users work on the same system concurrently with different applications?
