First issue is that I no longer have the Ultramon icon in the systray. It seems like nothing I do will bring it back. I'm an admin on the machine and the registry is not showing that systray icon has been disabled.
Second issue is that I used to be able to have the second monitor's taskbar on the primary monitor (not the same as putting all of the apps in the same taskbar). Is this not available anymore?

Please try the following: open a command prompt, then run the following command:
"C:\Program Files\UltraMon\UltraMon.exe" /stop
Once UltraMon has shut down, start it again via the shortcut in Start Menu > Programs. Let me know if you then get the system tray icon for UltraMon.
Regarding the taskbar: version 3 no longer supports this, a taskbar gets added to each monitor, unless the taskbar has been disabled for a monitor under UltraMon Options > Smart Taskbar > More options. Moving a taskbar to a different monitor is not supported.

Yes, the icon is back. Does it make a difference that I usually start Ultramon by double-clicking on a saved profile shortcut?
That's too bad about having the separate taskbars on the same monitor. I really liked that feature because it gave me only one place to look to see my open programs while still distinguishing the two monitors.

What type of profile is this, and does UltraMon get started under your regular user account?
Support for manual taskbar configuration will be considered for a later release, not before 3.0 final though.

I'm not sure what you mean by what 'type' of profile. I created an UM profile for 2 monitors and one for 1 monitor. The shortcut looks like this: "C:\Documents and Settings\myusername\Application Data\Realtime Soft\UltraMon\3.0.5\Profiles\2 Monitors.umprofile"

This will only apply the display settings, running the profile won't start UltraMon.
By default UltraMon gets started automatically at system startup. Do you get the problem with the missing icon after every system reboot? If yes, would you be interested in running a test version of UltraMon to further troubleshoot this issue?
