Hi,
I am missing the "tile vertically" and "tile horizontally" options when I select more than one task on my UltraMon(VTMultiDisplay) taskbar.
Does anybody know if this feature is supported?
Otherwise how can I make a feature request?

Currently that's not supported, but the 3.0 beta supports per-monitor tiling (all apps on the monitor). Support for this will be considered for a future release.

I downloaded UltraMon because I read a Wikipedia entry that said this app allows a user to position the taskbar vertically. Did I misread?

This will work fine, with version 3 right-click the UltraMon taskbar and select Position from the menu to change the screen edge for the taskbar, with version 2 first unlock the taskbar, then grab the bottom-right corner with the mouse and drag the taskbar to the desired screen edge.
