Forums -> UltraMon™ -> Screen going blank after UltraMon profile is applied at startup

Hi,
I have been sing UltraMon for about 2 years--and it is just great.
However recently, I have run into a problem where I went from 2 monitor to one monitor (I am traveling with my laptop) and I must have created a new profile for 1 monitor incorrectly where, because the profile gets applied at startup (I selected that option) AND I must have selected the wrong monitor in the setup, the screen goes blank or dark, even though all else is fine. So I cannot use the laptop until I resolve this screen/monitor problem. (I dual boot Linux so I can still use computer--but can no longer use WinXP until I fix this.)
Is there a way for me to start WinXP without having UltraMon apply the profile?
What could I possibly be doing wrong while creating the 1 monitor profile so that the screen goes blank?
Thanks.

I'm not sure what would cause this, but to prevent the profile from getting applied, start Windows in safe mode (press F8 at system startup), then delete the shortcut to the profile under Start Menu > Programs > Startup. You can then restart the system normally and the profile will no longer get applied automatically.
