It's a minor issue but in windows 7 my smart task bar slowly works its way to 100% transparency. I've completely disabled transparency on the main taskbar at this point and it still does it. It takes about an hour or two but it always seems to make the smart task bar 100% transparent.
The taskbar itself continues to work normally, the buttons/icons on it are still usable as the text or icon still shows. Closing and reopening ultramon or just disabling and reenabling the smart task bar makes it visible again but it always seems to go back to 100% transparency.
Is there anything i can do to stop this from happening?

Are you using autohide for the taskbar, and which version of UltraMon do you have installed?

Yes, I am using autohide. I'm using version 3.0.7.
Also I thought it was slowly getting more transparent but I think I was wrong. I think it's going from solid to completely transparent all at once but I have no idea when. I've never seen it change, I only know it seems to be completely transparent after a few hours of use.
Also not sure if this helps but here's the info form the about screen.

One issue I'm aware of with autohide taskbars on Windows 7: if you display a task preview for one of the tasks on the main taskbar, then hover the mouse over the preview so that all other windows get hidden, the UltraMon taskbars will then be fully transparent. I'm going to look into this for the next release.

it's OK, transparency was simply white.
I've went to personalise / windows color , and choose another color.
