Hi,
At the moment i am using a PCI-E Nvidia 9600GT to run 2 lcd monitors and this works fine. However i want to upgrade to 4 monitors and the 9600 only supports 2.
Can i put in a seperate PCI nvidia card (GeForce FX 5500) and plug the 3rd and 4th moniters into this, keeping the 9600 as a primary card?
Will the two cards work together without any sort of confilicting?
Thanks

Usually yes, but compatibility issues are always a possibility, and if you're using Windows Vista both cards need to be able to use the same driver.

What would be a good basic driver for Window Vista 64 bit to run four monitors. No matter what driver I use, it is one or the other in terms of what monitors show up.
I have integrated ATI Raedon 3100 HD and I installed a higher end 4860 in the expansion slot
I don't need these for gaming. I just need four monitors for data, and I can't find any drivers that will work with both video adapters.
Thank you

vista doesn't work well with nvidia and ati drivers installed. stick with the same chip manufacturer and you will be OK. i run gtx260, 88gt and a 7800gt at the same time and have no issues
