I'm running Windows Vista with a Radeon HD 4870 and a monitor and a TV connected to it.
When I'm playing a movie or TV show, I want to be able to turn off the main monitor and only show it on the TV, but when I turn off the monitor, the TV changes from 1360x768 to 1024x768.
How can I make it so that turning off the monitor won't affect the TV's display mode?

One thing you could try is to disable the monitor in Display Properties first, I'm not sure though if that will fix the problem.
