Forums -> UltraMon™ -> Ultramon 3.0.7 causes W7 to hang shutting down

Ok, running latest Ultramon version and Windows 7 Ultimate RTM X64.

If i have a program open on the second monitor (ie, MSN messenger is a good example. Not something a lot of people actually close before shutting down) when you press shutdown then Windows hangs for a few seconds and finally asks you to 'end task' the 'non responding program' (whatever program was on the second monitor)

If i kill the UltraMon process then W7 shuts down fine. If i move all programs to the main monitor, then it shuts down fine. If i close all open programs on the second monitor then it shuts down fine.

Just a little annoying as there are sometimes when i don't manually close down all my open programs.

Thanks for the bug report. I've been able to reproduce a similar issue, if UltraMon is running during logoff/shutdown, Live Messenger crashes. I'll look into this for the next release.

Its not specifically Live Messenger. Any program that is open on the secondary screen after a shutdown is started will not gracefully close, it must be forced (ie, END TASK)

When do you expect to have a release version 3.x.x for Windows 7? I have a currently using a RTM version and was hoping that Ultramon would have been just about ready prior to the official release date.

Thanks in advance,

Later this year, I can't tell you anything more specific yet.
