This happens on the remote computer, which is running ultramon, when I connect to it via RDP.
I don't think it happens every time.

You'll get this if themes are enabled for the remote session, but UltraMon fails to access the theme. Does restarting UltraMon fix the problem?

I don't have themes turned on for my remote connection. I just have Font Smoothing and Bitmap Caching turned on.
I can confirm it doesn't happen every time because I tried it just now and it didn't crash.
Restarting the task bar does work. The remote computer is at work, and when I go in, that is to say when I am physically there, I select Smart Taskbar / Enable and the task bar turns back on.
It's not a big deal. I just thought you might like to know.

Maybe it's a timing issue, so far I haven't been able to reproduce the problem. I'll consider disabling the error message for the next release.

Same error, different situation. Error Pic: http://nirankari.me/albums/hsbsitez/4/original/Ultramon%20Error.png
Situation: I am on win 7 & ultramon has worked for me in the past. I have installed StarDocks MyColor and using the Diamond theme, and now the Ultramon Taskbar does not shows up. I am wondering if there is any way to resolve this error without removing the theme? Thanks for the bug report, I'll look into this for the next release, not sure though if there's a good fix for this. BTW, the problem only occurs if desktop composition is disabled.
As a workaround, go to My Colors > Settings and add an exclusion for UltraMonTaskbar.exe (from the C:\Program Files\UltraMon folder).
