Once I disable the secondary monitor, I cannot re-enable it using UltraMon.
I've tried enabling by applying a profile, and by selecting "Enable Secondary" from the menu.
I have to go into the Windows Display Properties, and check the "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor" checkbox for the secondary monitor. At that point, the monitor is enabled but running a very low resolution. I can then apply the UltraMon profile to adjust the resolution and colors.

I'm not sure what might cause this, works fine for me on my laptop with XP and an Intel 945GM video chipset.
What resolution and color depth are you using for the secondary monitor? I could send you a script which enables the monitor and also sets the resolution and color depth, maybe this will work.

The primary monitor is set to 1280x800, and the secondary (which I can't enable) is at 1440x900.
Both have a color depth of 32 bits.
Currently, when I enable the secondary monitor through the Windows Display Properties, it automatically goes to 640x480, 8 bit color. I can then apply an UltraMon profile to set it up correctly.

I have uploaded a script which tries to enable monitor 2 and set the desired resolution: EnableSecondaryAndSetRes.vbs. Let me know if that works for you.

The script works the same as the UltraMon app. If the monitor is disabled, it cannot re-enable it.
Once I enable the monitor through windows ("Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor"), the script will set the resolution and depth correctly, just like the profiles already do.

The log file contains the following information:

The behaviour is exactly the same as before. The monitor is not enabled.
If I re-run it, I continue to get exactly the same message in the log file... However, once I manually re-enable the monitor and then re-run it, I get this message instead: "No disabled secondary monitor found."

Might be a display driver issue, the log should show an error if changing display settings fails. I would try if installing the latest drivers for the video chipset fixes the problem.
