I've been using UltraMon on Windows XP to switch between my PC monitor and TV using different profiles: profile1: TV disabled, PC monitor as Primary; profile2: PC disabled, TV as Primary. Now I moved to Windows 7 and this function doesn't work. If I try to switch to TV profile, nothing happens. Tried both 2.7.1 and 3.0.7 Beta versions. Do not suggest me to use extended desktop - that's not the solution for me.

This is due to changes in Windows 7, should work fine again with the next release, 3.0.8. Unfortunately there's no workaround for this, except doing it manually via Display Properties.

I've got a similiar problem. I also created two profiles, one with my "secondary" monitor as primary while the "primary" (i.e. the laptops monitor) is shut off, the other with both monitors on. Once I now switch back two the profile with both monitors, I can't move my desktop icons to the secondary monitor anymore. After restart of Windows this problem is solved.
I also use Windows 7 (as Professional x64).

Dominik, that's most likely something else, UltraMon doesn't get involved when you move desktop icons to the other monitor. To verify this, check if you still have the problem if you change the display configuration via Display Properties.

I tried some things now and what I got is this: - If I switch on/off monitors via Windows, icons could be moved afterwards without any problems - If I switch on/off monitors via Ultramon, same problem as before. If I then go through the same process with Windows, icons could be moved again to the secondary monitor - If I close Ultramon after switching of monitors the problem still persists as long as I don't switch monitors with Windows again (or restart as alternative)
Not sure if this is any help, but please tell me if I could do more

Can you still move the mouse and applications to the other monitor after enabling the secondary via UltraMon?

Both things are working properly. I can also drag the icons to the other monitor (should have mentioned that) but they won't stay there.

Sounds like a Windows issue, but most likely this will also be fixed in the next release. UltraMon will handle disabling/enabling of monitors differently which will fix the various display profile-related issues on Windows 7.
