Hi! I noticed that every now and then the SmartTask bar completely vanishes from all the non-primary monitors. Starting/Stopping and twiddling the Smart Taskbar options, including restarting UltraMon does nothing. Even reinstalling with REPAIR option does nothing. What fixes it is uninstalling UltraMon and then reinstalling it.

If it happens again, please send me a copy of the registry key 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Realtime Soft\UltraMon\2.0\Smart Taskbar'.
To do this, open regedit.exe, select the key and choose File\Export from the menu. Please send me the .reg file by e-mail to support@realtimesoft.com.

I think I have an equally annoying problem. Apps that I have open on my secondary monitor show on my primary task bar, to some extent, but not vice versa.
Current Example: Primary Taskbar - SecureCRT 1, IE 1, Outlook Express Secondary Taskbar - SecureCRT 1, SecureCRT 2, IE 1, IE 2
Everything except Outlook Express actually resides on the secondary monitor but the first instance of each program seems to get a duplicate taskbar entry on the Primary. Another little thing is that on the Secondary, anything which has a duplicate on the Primary is in white text as opposed to my set black text.
Erm... scratch that -- IE 2 is showing up on both now, too -- and the white text doesn't apply to the secondary. One of those nice inconsistant problems.
System specs: AMD-K6 2 450mhz 392mb ram Primary: nVidia Riva TNT2 Secondary: SiS 6326 Windows 2000 (5.00.2195)

What I've seen happen occasionally is that you suddenly have a duplicate task button, if you click it nothing happens. It doesn't go away until you move the app to the monitor with the duplicate button and back again.
Is that the problem you are experiencing? I haven't figured out what causes it yet, but it's something I'm working on for Beta 7.
Not sure what you mean with the text color: please send me a screenshot of your desktop to support@realtimesoft.com.

Yeah, I think that's kind of it. Once I threw them back and forth, the taskbar buttons aligned correctly, but then I clicked on one of the before-mentioned duplicates on my secondary monitor, a button showed up for them on the primary again.

I have the same problem. I cannot get my smart taskbar back. If I log in as a different user under XP I can get it, but not under my main profile.

Try deleting all subkeys of the registry key 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Realtime Soft\UltraMon\2.0\Smart Taskbar' using regedit.exe. When you restart UltraMon, a new default configuration will be created.
