After upgrading hard-drive and re-installing windows XP Media Centre Edition Ultramon screensaver has stopped working. When I select 'Display welcome message when windows resumes' screensaver works but activates even when Media Centre is running. This is frustrating as it worked perfectly before.

I'm not sure what would cause this, but it's unlikely that this would be related to UltraMon. To verify this, check if you have the same problem when using a standard Windows screen saver like Beziers instead of UltraMon.

If I un-install UltraMon and use a windows screensaver it works OK as long as the 'On resume, display welcome screen' box is unticked. If this is selected the windows screensaver also initiates when Media Centre is running. If I then re-install UltraMon and select UltraMon screensaver with 'On resume, display welcome screen' box unticked the screensaver fails to initiate. If I select this then the screensaver initiates when watching video on Media Centre. Strangely it doesnt when using Media Player in full screen mode. It would be really nice to have this resolved as I prefer to use the UltraMon screensaver to prevent burn in on our plasma display connected to Media Centre PC

UltraMon can't fix this, seems to be a Windows issue related to password-protected screen savers running on a separate desktop.
With version 2 of UltraMon the UltraMon screen saver always runs on a separate desktop, this is no longer the case with version 3. Installing the 3.0 beta should give you the same behavior as with a regular Windows screen saver.

Installed the version 3.0 Beta. Seems to work fine with this version of UltraMon, thanks for your help. I agree that my problem is most likely an issue with Windows, still it would still be nice to know what the problem is. If anyone could let me know of any way to determine / any possible fixes it would be appreciated.
