I have a simple requirement and am not sure if Ultramon will do it.
I want to run a secondary monitor on my PC, i do not want the desktop to be extended or the PC user to be able to move anything to the secondary monitor, place icons there etc, in fact the user of the PC should have no influance over the second monitor at all. When they run a certain program, i want this to run only on the second monitor. Applications like PC shop till with customer display are what we are tryin to do Can Ultramon do this Currenly i can lock the mouse to the primary monitor, but i can still drag a windows nearly all the way over to the secondary monitor

This is impossible with Windows and I hardly think Ultramon is able to do that! Each window needs to be "managed" somehow and for that to happen it needs to be connected to the desktop. Linux or other unix systems running the X window system will be able to provide you with the functionality you need. However I'm note sure if that is a option for you. You might consider searching www.sourceforge.net

UltraMon has some limited support for this via scripting, but it's not possible to completely prevent the user from moving the mouse/applications to the other monitor. If you're interested in giving this a try see UltraMon Help > Scripting > Samples > Independent displays for a sample script.
Another solution would be multi-user software like BeTwin.
