Hey Christian,

I was wondering if the next version of UltraMon would include support for jump lists, the embedded status bar, and the rearrangement of tasks on secondary monitors. These features are extremely useful and it would be great to have them on monitors other than the primary.

Thanks!

I am also very much looking forward to UltraMon being updated to use these features of Windows 7. I tried other software (including the recently mentioned DisplayFusion) and none of them are as user-friendly and functional as UltraMon. With the mentioned features implemented, it will be perfect. I hope it happens soon. Keep up the good work.

Not before 3.0 final, but I'm certainly going to look into this for a future release.

Thanks. I was starting to look for an alternative to UltraMon for Windows 7 because I am having some issues...

1. Sometimes the Smart Taskbar stops showing - a hidden one won't appear when it's suppose to

2. I can't fugure out how to show icons & text like in Vista on the Smart Taskbars. I end up with a bunch of Firefox icons and I don't know which is which without taking the time to hover my mouse over each one.

3. The transparency on some of them (auto-hide ones) doesn't seem to be correct... it seems too transparent (background seems 100% transparent).

Hope these issues will be addressed soon and a final version in Jan. Thanks.

1 and 3 are related to autohide, will be fixed in 3.0.8.

Regarding 2: UltraMon will pick up the setting used by the main taskbar, if you want to show the text go to Control Panel > Taskbar and Start Menu and set Taskbar buttons to Never combine.

Thanks... but can you add an option so individual taskbars do not have to pick up this setting (that shows text) from the main taskbar, similar to the other options that can be set independently?

Glad to hear the other issues are fixed in the upcoming update! Thanks.

I'll consider support for this for a future release.
