Forums -> UltraMon™ -> Disabling secondary monitor works, but it can't be reenabled.

I'm new to UltraMon, and I'm trying to set it up to disable/enable my secondary monitor via a hotkey. The key has been set, and the disabling works, however when I hit the key again to re-enable, the secondary monitor can't be brought back online.

So far, in fact, I haven't found any way to bring it back short of restarting (fingers crossed). This is using the new beta 3.0.7 version on a Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (full retail) installation. Any clues as to how I might get this working properly?

thanks,
Bill

This is an issue on Windows 7, will be fixed in the next release. There's no real workaround, you'll need to make display configuration changes via Windows Display Properties.

Hi Christian,
has this been fixed in the latest version of Ultramon?

I have disable/enable secondary monitor via hotkeys. I can disable the secondary monitor, but when I try to enable the 2ndary monitor, Ultramon would either 1) not respond, or 2) respond but leaving my programs/taskbar icons on my primary monitor.

And when I right-click Ultramon from the systray after all this, the program hangs.

This should work fine, are you using 3.0.10 on Windows 7?

Yes, the latest version. OS W7 64-bit.
This morning I used the hotkeys and it worked fine with the exception of mIRC not moving to the secondary monitor.

Last night, the problem occurred coming out of sleep mode. I could try to duplicate the problem if that's the case.

So far I haven't been able to reproduce this issue, re-enabling the secondary worked fine after resuming from sleep mode.

What video card are you using? I tested with an ATI card and 2 monitors.
