Hi.

Using Windows display settings, I can see five monitors, and with lots of jiggery, I can do whatI want and switch between 1,2,3,4 & 1,2,4:5 - but can't save the settings to flick between the two of course.

UltraMon profiles seem to only show the first four monitors, is this right? Obviously, one on my graphics cards (Quadro FX 1400) has three outputs, of which any two can be active at any one time.

Is this a glitch (either at my end or the applications), a missing feature that might get included, or as designed?

Cheers,
-Justin

NB - just for anyone who might suggest it, I've found, installed, and tried "Display Changer", running a detatch in comes back with no error, monitors flicker, but all four monitors remain attached :-(

Which version of Windows are you using?

Not sure how I managed to put this in the wrong forum, thanks for moving it...

I should have mentioned it's on Windows 7 RC,. If it helps at all, I have since found and run the UltraMon 'sysinfo' script on the configs, and the HMonitor value for Monitor 4 changes. While Monitors 1,2,3 are of the form 0x1000#, Monitor 4 is a less trivial value eg: (0x3A0261 or 0x2604BF).

Please try this again with the 3.0.8 release (should be ready next week), several issues related to changing display settings on Windows 7 have been fixed there. Let me know if it still doesn't work with 3.0.8.

Hi, just tried it - found the menu to adjust the monitor ID numbers... But Ultramon still shows only four monitors, Windows shows five. Images at

For further troubleshooting please run CcdInfo.exe and EnumDisp.exe and send me the generated log files to support@realtimesoft.com.

Thanks for the logs. There's no easy fix for this, but I'll look into adding support for such a setup in a later release, not before 3.0 final though.

What refresh rate options does UltraMon offer for the 1232x688 resolution?

What happens if you select the 1232x688 resolution with a refresh rate of 60 Hz via UltraMon menu > Display Settings? Does the TV get set to 720p60 mode?

Resolution and frequency are set correctly.

Looks like everything should work fine, just use the same resolution and refresh rate settings for the display profile.

In profile, I put 60 Hz, but after the application frequency is set at 25 Hz ...

I'm not sure what would cause this, UltraMon Display Settings and display profiles basically work the same way, and apply the display settings the same way.

If you go to UltraMon menu > Display Profiles > Manage Display Profiles, then right-click the profile and select Edit from the menu, is the refresh rate still set to 60 Hz?

yes

Very weird, are you sure the settings are exactly the same in UltraMon menu > Display Settings and the display profile? If possible, please send me screenshots of both to support@realtimesoft.com.
