Hello guys,
just installed the new 3.0.8 beta on win7 x64. After the obligatory restart the OS was up with the smart taskbar, but when I tried to start firefox the system took a lot of cpu and responded veeery slow. In the taskmgr there were many ultramon processes. Win7 said, it couldn't close all the processes (tried closing process structure).
Did a repair, same. Downgrade to 3.0.7 beta - missing resource error. Reinstallation of 3.0.8, same thing.
Because of all these unclosable processes I can't really say, what causes this behaviour :-|

So far I haven't been able to reproduce this issue, I tested with Firefox 3.5.6 on 64-bit Windows 7.
I'm also not sure why you wouldn't be able to close UltraMon.exe etc via Task Manager, works fine for me. But you might crash running applications when doing this, due to the hooks installed by UltraMon.
Regarding the language pack version error: try uninstalling UltraMon, then manually delete the C:\Program Files\UltraMon folder if it still exists, and reinstall UltraMon.

Well, I just installed 3.0.7 again, it works fine.
Didn't really know what to do when all these ultramon processes showed up. You couldn't close them, everyone seemed to get 1% of cpu. It happened sometimes without doing anything (e.g. directly after windows start).
Another question: when will smart taskbar have the options of the new win7-taskbar like sticking open apps to it? Is there anything planned?
Nice app btw., using it since some time now.

Support for new Windows 7 taskbar features will be considered for a future release (after 3.0 final).
