Which visual style are you using? I'll try to reproduce this, but currently I don't see how this could be caused by a visual style, or what else might cause this.

I've been able to reproduce the issue, happens if you install the fonts included with the visual style.
I'm not sure though why the main taskbar doesn't use the fonts, the intention seems to have been that the main taskbar use the same fonts, see the screenshot of the visual style on the page for the style.
