Forums -> UltraMon™ -> Suggestion: Automatic Wallpaper-Switch

Hey there :)

I would like to suggest a very useful feature for the wallpaperfunction.

What you think about a "automatic wallpaper-switch"?

If I could, I would do this like this:

- Adding a field to enter the wanted interval.
- The interval will control / switch between the created profiles.
- That's it :)

+++

I tried some applications they would do like that, but they use a lot of RAM (~ 60MB!) or just support one monitor. UltraMon™ just uses for all features 4-5 MB <3

I use Windows 7 Professional 64bit ;)

Thanks for your suggestion, will be considered for a future release. You could already do this with a custom script, look for the ChangeWallpaper scripts.

Make sure you're using the ChangeWallpaper2 script, this works fine for me on 64-bit Windows 7 with UltraMon 3.0.9.

I have uploaded a modified version of the ChangeWallpaper2 script, please download and run the new version of the script and post the error message you get. You can copy the text of the error message by pressing CTRL+C.

You can put the script anywhere, doesn't matter, then double-click the script to run it.

allright... no effect....

windows ask me "Do you really want to run this script?"

I choose "Yes", then I start to wait till I become hungry :P

Unfortunately I don't know what might cause this, looks like everything should work fine.

One thing you could try: open a command prompt, then run the following command to load one of your wallpapers manually:

"%ProgramFiles%\UltraMon\UltraMonDesktop.exe" /load "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Realtime Soft\UltraMon\3.0.9\Wallpapers\My wallpaper.wallpaper"

on that folder are my profiles, which i've added with the wallpaper-feature....

i've got installed 3.08... may thats the issue?
Christian Studer   2010-02-06 08:54
Most likely not, but upgrading to 3.0.9 should still be worth a try.
