I've been unable to find any driver beyond the detonator 12.90s that properly support two monitors under windows XP. By proper, I mean I can set either the AGP or PCI geforce as primary in the BIOS and windows xp can start both. Beyond 12.90, if I set agp as primary, windows xp cannot start the pci as secondary. The workaround is to set the PCI as primary in the BIOS and then override this by setting the AGP as primary using windows display properties. The problem is with some opengl apps and tv-out utilities that appear to become confused by the different BIOS and OS setting. Again, the 12.90s work as expected but the newer series detonators fail in this area.

What video cards are you using? I have an AGP GeForce3 and 2 PCI GeForce2 MX (not TwinView), AGP as primary in BIOS and Windows, worked fine with all drivers I tested (default, 12.41, 21.83, 23.11).

I'm having problems with the Elsa Gladica 920 Geforce3 and PNY Geforce MX 400.

Is the PNY a TwinView card?

The PNY is not twinview.

Christian,

Just to be clear, are you using windows xp? My problem seems to be xp specific as both adapters start under 98se.

I'm using this system with all recent versions of Windows (98/Me/2000/XP).

I thought that maybe you were using a TwinView card, I've heard about similar problems when using ATI dualhead + PCI cards.

Maybe it's a chipset issue, I'm using a dual P2 with the Intel BX chipset.
