I updated to the latest version yesterday and did not experience any issues. However, today when I enabled the second monitor it seems that all of the background processes become active processes and are displayed on the windows taksbar and as blocks on the main screen. The only way to clear this is to reboot.
I've tried downgrading back to the previous version but suffered the same issue. I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the latest version, but had the same issue again.
I disabled Ultramon and manually enabled the seond monitor using the desktop properties in windows which worked fine (obviously without any of the Ultramon features).
I'm running Windows XP.

Did you enable the secondary monitor via UltraMon menu > Enable Secondary? If yes, try if you have the same problem when enabling the monitor via UltraMon menu > Display Settings.

Hi Christian,
I was using the 'enable secondary' option. When I use the 'display settings' option I don't get this issue.
It's not quite as convenient as the one-click but certainly avoids the issues and still lets me use the functionality.
Thanks for your help.

Another user reported the same issue, but so far I haven't been able to reproduce this. It's related to Enable Secondary restoring windows to their original positions.
Did you notice if this started happening after installing a new application? It's not due to the UltraMon upgrade as this feature works the same way in all recent releases.

This may (or may not) be related to Trusteer Security Software. I'd forgotten I'd installed this as it is a web browser security upgrade.
I've uninstalled the software and have not had the problem since, so it may be more than just coincidence.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the update, unfortunately I can't test with Trusteer myself. Let me know if you get this issue again.
