heya,
I'm currently using SplitView to handle my Remote Desktop sessions with multiple monitors.
Basically, if you try to use "mstsc /span" to connect to Remote Desktop with multiple monitors, there's a few issues - Windows maximise to both monitors, instead of just one, and dialogs appear in the middle, split across both monitors.
SplitView solves these problems. However, I'm looking at getting UltraMon anyway, and was just wondering if UltraMon supports Remote Desktop similarly? (I couldn't seem to find anything in the features list, or a quick hunt through the forums).
cheers, Victor

Span mode won't work with UltraMon, it will only see a single monitor.
But if the remote system is running Windows 7 and you have version 7 of the Remote Desktop client installed, UltraMon will work fine if you check the 'Use all my monitors for the remote session' option on the Remote Desktop Display tab.

FYI: That Windows 7 tip will only work if the host is Ultimate or Enterprise edition, not Home or Pro.

Is there any solution for XP?

Unfortunately no, UltraMon will always see only a single monitor if the remote system is running Windows XP.

I already use/own Ultramon, and am happy with it. I have two Windows 7 Ultimate keys. One is running in the traditional bare-metal sense, and the other I'm using for a VM on a XenServer host. Obviously, I have to use Remote Desktop to operate the VM, and I'm hoping you can tell me that virtualization doesn't matter to Ultramon, and how to configure my setup so that I can remote in to the VM and have the monitor configuration be identical.
Thanks!

This should work fine with Windows 7, go to options for the remote desktop connection then select the Display tab and check 'Use all my monitors for the remote session'.
This way the remote session will get stretched across all local monitors, independent of the number of monitors at the remote system.
