Hope this makes sense......

my business uses 8-10 monitor sets, build my own. Some monitors cannot be seen from the primary monitor (M1). I must have a way to see the other monitors, put slideshows on the other monitors, and start and stop them. I have been using the zoom feature in nview desktop manager, set the zoom to x1, and where ever the cursor goes, it's seen on M1.

Unfortunately, nview has not been updated to work past XP. I'm thinking of building a Windows 7 system.

Can I use the mirror function to work on monitors 2-8? If the cursor is on monitor 8, will that image show up on M1? That is what seems to be indicated by the instructions. How big an area around the cursor is shown? I don't need magnification, I just need to see what is on the monitor.

thanks

Forget I still have an active UM license. Downloaded and tried mirror, I see it's just a clone function.

Serious question, what would it cost to have a function where i can see what's on the other monitors? nvidia seems to have given up on it. I really need it for my business to work and I've seen posts on nvidia forums of others who miss the function.

send private reply if possible, thanks for your time.

ok, if I keep reading and digging, I may learn something. Just found mirrormon in addons. This is really, really close to what I need. Having a hard time figuring out how to use it.

Does it work on windows 7?

i'm back, imagine that. Think i've got it figured out. Does most of what I need, except the "drag crosshair" part is very difficult to use with several monitors. Can it be changed so that the crosshair follows the cursor as it goes from one monitor to the next, or set it so that the crosshair can be moved to a different monitor by arrowing left or right? And does it work on windows 7?

thanks for your patience.

That's not supported, what you could do is launch multiple MirrorMon instances, one for each secondary monitor. MirrorMon works fine on Windows 7.

Or if you have a secondary monitor which can be used as a mirror target you could use the 'area around the mouse pointer' mirroring option. UltraMon can't use the primary monitor as a mirror target monitor.

Another option might be the Magnifier tool included with Windows, you'll find this under Start Menu > Programs > Accessories > Ease of Access.
