I'm trying to install 3.0.10 (upgrading from 3.0.5) on Windows XP and receiving the error message: "Could not get value names for the key Installer\Products\66919298B6FC7CD4D927C809431A499D. Verfiy that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel." When I try to uninstall 3.0.5 I receive the same message. Suggestions?

Sounds like a permissions issue, to fix this run regedit.exe, then right-click the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Installer\Products, select Permissions from the menu, and make sure the Administrators group and the SYSTEM account have Full Control over the key.

Thanks for the quick response. I checked the permissions for Products and found that the Administrators and SYSTEM have Full Control. The "Read" allow box is also checked, although it and Full Control are also grayed out. "Special Permissions" is not checked.

I also went directly to that key (66919298B6FC7CD4D927C809431A499D) and Full Control was checked there as well.

Please do a logged installation of 3.0.10 as described here, and send me the generated log file to support@realtimesoft.com. The log might have more information on what exactly is going wrong.
