None of my desk top icons work and I can't create any new ones that do. The program did not work at all so I uninstalled it in hopes that the icons would go back to working but they haven't. I restarted after uninstalling but that didn't do anything. This sucks! Help. Using Vista Home Premium.

I'm not sure what would cause this, but it seems unlikely that this would be related to UltraMon.
What happens if you right-click the desktop and select New > Shortcut from the menu?

I create a 'dead' shortcut, with a blank icon.

Unfortunately I don't know what might cause this, but it's very unlikely that this would be related to UltraMon, especially if the software has already been uninstalled.
