Does this happen when you resume the system from standby/hibernate, or when you lock, then unlock the system again?

mostly just by turning off my displays then coming back a while later turning them both on then my smartbar is taller (or the default size for windows 7 taskbar)
I should have noted that I use a projector for my primary display and a LCD monitor as my second.
primary res is 1920x1080 secondary res is 1280x1024

So far I haven't been able to reproduce the issue, I'm also not sure what might cause this on your system, if only the monitors get turned off nothing should happen which is relevant to UltraMon, not even a display settings change.
Did you notice anything which seems to cause the problem, for example it only happens when a certain application is running, etc?

The only other thing I can think of, is when I turn off the projector, I hear the windows 'disconnected device' sound, so after when that happens the primary display or desktop switches to my LCD monitor, and sometimes after a reboot I think windows recognizes the LCD as the primary (especially after a system update).
if you want to simulate this, I recommend unplugging your primary, reboot, then after when windows starts plug in your primary again. and see what happens
This probably wouldn't occur if I just use the windows taskbar at its default height, but I like it shorter so I can maximize the viewing area.

I have now tested with disconnecting then reconnecting the primary monitor, but so far haven't been able to reproduce the issue.
If you're interested I could send you a test version of UltraMonTaskbar.exe for further troubleshooting, you would need to be able to run a debug monitor like DebugView. Let me know if you would like to do this.

I am using win 7 32bit. I am having the same problem but it does go back to normal at all, once it changed it never went back. My middle of three monitors taskbar is more than twice as large as the win 7 taskbar, but the third monitor is fine. I am using nvidia 9800 gt, I also had the problem on a diffrent card. Any help would be great.
thanks
jerry

Jerry, you can resize the taskbar by dragging the border with the mouse, just make sure you unlock it first.
