I just replaced my old anti-virus program with Comodo Antivirus (I don't use their firewall or other tools, just AV). When I rebooted, UltraMon started crashing every time I try to run it. I see these two errors, the first on the primary display and the other on a secondary display: UltraMon encountered a fatal error and will exit.
More information:
Version: 3.0.10
OS: 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3 x32
Source file: .\WndExt.cpp
Line: 2165
Return value: 0
Last error: 126
UltraMon Taskbar encountered a fatal error and will exit.

I'm going to try uninstalling and re-installing UltraMon to see if that helps, but I suspect UltraMon is somehow objecting to being placed in Comodo's sandbox -- and I don't know any way to tell Comodo *NOT* to put it there.

Both errors mean that UltraMon failed to install a WinEvent hook, UltraMon uses this type of hook for the window buttons, tracking application movement for the taskbar, etc.
I'm not sure why Comodo would interfere with this, WinEvent hooks are also used by accessibility applications. I would recommend contacting them to see if there's a solution, several UltraMon features won't work if this type of hook can't be used.

Thanks! Setting the hooks is probably failing because of Comodo's sandbox feature. There's supposed to be a way to disable it, which would probably allow UltraMon to work. Instead, I removed Comodo and went with a different AV product (Eset's NOD32) instead and I'm much happier.
Thanks again for a quick, comprehensible response!
