I just installed on an hp 2530p laptop. all was working welll for a few minutes. maximized properly, etc.
Now, If I maximize an app, it shows on the bottom half of monitor 1, and the top half of monitor 2. Both monitors are 1280x1024

The problem is the monitor alignment, to fix this right-click the UltraMon icon in the system tray, select Display Settings from the menu, then adjust the monitor arrangement so that the two monitors are aligned at the top or bottom.
You can drag the monitor icons to the desired position with the mouse, but you can also enter the coordinates manually, for example if you set the y coordinate for both monitors to zero, the monitors will be aligned at the top.
