Hello
I have 3 monitors and beamer connected to my PC. Normally I work with the 3 monitors, and sometimes I want to add the beamer for extending the Desktop or mirroring a monitor.
The beamer is connected through the HDMI connector on my ATI Grafic-card with a passthrough with my dolby-surround receiver.
I have created 2 profiles. General is for using only the monitors. The problem I have now is that I'm loosing my sound in the moment I disable the beamer in the profile.
If I check "ignore" for the beamer in options I have sound. There must be a difference between ignore and disable a monitor.
Any idea how I could use the profiles without loosing the sound?
best regards Andreas

Do you have 'ignore enabled monitors' checked?

Hello,
Thanks for the fast answer.
I had cheched 'ignore enabled monitors' But it doesn't make a difference if it is checked or not.
If I ignore the beamer I have sound. But cannot select it in any profile. If I don't ignore the beamer I can use it in the profiles. Only, in ervery profile I have the beamer not enabled, I also have no sount :-(
At the moment I work only with a profile that has all monitors (incl. beamer) enabled. To avoid inviible parts of desktop I start mirroring a monitor at the beamer.
BTW mirroring doesn't work in all cases. Starting a game, which only works on the primary monitor, will not be mirrored on the beamer.
Any other idea? Mirroring is a workaround, but I have to start it manually every time.
best regards Andreas

I'm not sure why exactly disabling the monitor would disable the speakers, but maybe you just need to select different speakers via Control Panel > Sound. If that doesn't work, the best workaround is probably to leave the monitor enabled and tell UltraMon to ignore it.
Ignoring an enabled monitor should only work if 'ignore enabled monitors' is checked. UltraMon will no longer show the monitor in the user interface, and will prevent applications and the mouse from getting moved to the monitor.
Regarding mirroring: to fix this, you would need to disable video overlays and 3D acceleration, the option is on the last page of the mirroring settings wizard.
