Hello there:
I will be buying a new desktop system including monitors for home use. I have a dual monitor setup at work and LOVE it. I rarely do video editing, serious gaming or watching movies on the computer. I do a lot of analyses, text, presentations and basically need dual monitor setup from productivity standpoint. I would prefer a setup with as few powercords and cables as possible (such as integrated speakers and connect via hdmi interface) 20" x 2 would be just fine.
What is the monitor brand/type that is good for this. What should I look for in a video card.
Thanks for suggestions.

I recommend an ATI 5000 series card, like the ATI 5770. I have two of them running 5 monitors. I could run up to six (three from each). I use my system for productivity. More here: http://www.htmlvalidator.com/CSEForum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=753
For monitors, I recommend Dell U2311H. Not exactly meeting your specs (no HDMI or integrated speakers and maybe larger than you're wanting), but great monitors for image quality (eIPS panels) and reasonably priced (especially with a 20% off coupon which you can get from Dell - more info at slickdeals.net). You can see my review here: http://www.htmlvalidator.com/u2311h/
