While UltraMon's save/restore desktop icons is OK, it's lacking compared to IconSaver, a $5 shareware app I used to use I once used.
IconSaver would save desktop icons PER RESOLUTION. E.g., it would save desktop icons at my normal resolution of 1600x1200. Then when I would Remote Desktop at, say, 1024x768, it would restore them at my preferred locations for 1024x768. When I log back in at 1600x1200, it restores those positions. Same thing when docking/undocking my laptop.
This would be incredibly useful for UltraMon, since I regularly dock/undock my laptop from dual 1600x1200 to tiny laptop screen.
