We are using HP thin clients and connecting to Microsoft Terminal Services on Server 2008 Enterprise Edition. The thin clients support dual monitors but wondering if Ultramon can help us get better functionality with terminal services.

These are the issues we are currently facing:
+The Windows taskbar covers both monitors
+Applications maximize across both monitors
+Popup dialogs and windows appear in between the two monitors, half on one monitor and half on the other

Would like to know if anyone has been able to get Ultramon to work its functionality in this type of environment?

UltraMon can't do this, but upgrading to Server 2008 R2 would fix the problem, with the new version of RDP the terminal session will have multiple monitors instead of a single wide one.

You'll have the same behavior as on a regular desktop, with the taskbar on a single monitor only, applications maximizing to a single monitor, etc.

True multiple monitor support in Windows now? Really... where can I read more? What about Windows 7?

I'm having to use SplitView now but I would prefer to use UltraMon.

Windows 7 supports this as well, but from what I've read only in the Ultimate and Enterprise editions (I have only tested with Ultimate).
