Hello,
I have an HP desktop that is running linux. the desktop has only three outputs: DVI, HDMI, and S-Video. There is not an active VGA output. the main monitor I am using takes VGA or DVI. The secondary monitor I have only takes VGA. Is there any way to easily and cheaply connect the second monitor to the desktop?

Thank you!

Sure. Assuming the DVI output is DVI-I, then use a $3 DVI to VGA adapter to get the VGA output for the second monitor, and use a $3 HDMI to DVI adapter to get the DVI output for the first monitor.

The adapters are simply changing from one connector type to the other, which his all that is required in this situation.
