Hi there,

I want to be able to connect a monitor and a projector to a laptop. On the laptop I'm running some Photo Booth software and I want this to be cloned onto the external monitor. But, I want the projector to be playing a Slideshow from Fastone Image viewer which could be used as an extended desktop?

Will this lead -

Work with UltraMon?

Most laptops support two external monitors or internal + 1x external monitor, the splitter would only be useful if you want to see the Photo Booth software both on the internal and external monitor.

If you can't connect both the monitor and projector directly to the laptop because there's only a single monitor port, I would recommend getting a docking station for the laptop, this way you should be able to connect both displays.

The only other requirement to get this working is that one or both of the applications supports running on a secondary monitor (this isn't always the case).

Would this be any good: http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=218645

Should be fine, you would then have up to 3 monitors, internal + 2x external.
