UltraMon will work fine with this, but Windows and the display driver need to support this as well, otherwise you won't be able to use all 24 monitors.

Matrox cards can use up to 8 monitors per graphic card. M9188 PCIe x16 M9188-E2048F 2 GB DDR2 ATX 8 x miniDP 2560x1600/1920x1200

But a matrox card costs about $1500 and only 2 graphic cards can be placed into one computer. All the monitors can be used independend of each other with the drivers.

I am trying to use 5, NVIDIA Quadro4 NVS 450 cards to run 20 monitors and it's not working. What are some of the issues associated with getting 20 monitors working that I need to be aware of?

System memory seems to be important, and if you already have more than 4 GB installed make sure you have a 64-bit operating system so that you can actually use all of the memory.

I finally figured out it's because the NVS450 cards use a bi-way PCI switch in the card and so they don't work on the motherboard I was using past 16 monitors. I am getting the single head quad cards ATI 2460 and they should do the trick of getting to 20-24 monitors on the single motherboard.
