Hi, I have a Radeon (ATI) x600 pro 128MB PCI-E card successfully running two Dell 19" LCD monitors on a 2005 gateway e-4300 desktop with Win xp pro sp3. I want to add a third monitor, and before I purchase ultramon to control these, I need info on the basics of a 3 monitor setup with an additional video card - can anyone share any related details, pitfalls, etc.? I have two PCI slots open (not pci-e). Many thanks!

If you can find a cheap PCI video card that should be worth a try, though in my experience mixing PCIe and PCI video cards doesn't always work.

Another option would be a USB video card. Also see the Multi-Monitor Guide for more on this.

BTW, you don't need UltraMon to use two video cards, Windows has built-in support for this. UltraMon adds additional multi-monitor features on top of what's provided by the operating system.
