Forums -> Multiple monitors -> List of PCI vid cards that can be "secondary"

I've got a Radeon 8500DV and I want to run a second PCI video card for dual monitor support. I've been doing this for a while now w/a Mach64 and an older Radeon - but the new one's TV functionality won't work unless it's the primary VGA adapter... and the Mach64 won't work unless it's the promary VGA adapter.

My question is this... is there a list of PCI video cards that will function as the secondary VGA adapter?

Does anyone know of any PCI cards that will work in this manner (even if it's not a list)?

Thank you much.

Hi LeadFinger,

this is as close as you'll get to a list, it's for Win98, but I guess what works in 98 "SHOULD" work for later versions.:

I've made the experience, that S3 cards seem to be a bit more critical, if you're looking for something really cheap in the 2 or 4 MB class, either Matrox or ATI cards seem to be the most compatible.
Good Luck, Tony.
