I get the following error whenever I go to the wall paper manager and try to select a profile. Even if I choose "solid color" instead of a background image. video card is an ATI HD3450 with 256Mb ram.

Ultramon encountered a fatal error and will now exit.

More information:
Version: 3.0.10
OS: 6.1.7600 x32
Source file: .\wallpaperutil.cpp
Line: 108
Return Value: 0
Last Error: 1260

You'll get this error if UltraMon fails to activate the wallpaper.

According to the error code this is due to access to the wallpaper being disabled via group policy, your system administrator would need to allow changing the desktop wallpaper.

Thanks for the info Christian... I can defenitely manually change the wall paper via the control panel - "Personalize" desktop option in Windows 7. But I will look into any possible group policy or local policy settings that are blocking it.

Thanks again Christian. I checked again and my changes weren't happening when i changed to a different picture under personalize.

it wasn't a group policy but somebody added a "local policy" for wallpaper that was messing it all up. I appreciate your help!
