Hi,
This evening I wanted to try the Mirroring feature of Ultramon. So I installed the software trial. As the mirroring seamed unable to fit my needs (far to slow and performance eater), I uninstalled ultramon through the win7 control panel.
Since then, performances remain bad, with dwm.exe using from 20% to 50% off my CPU...
How can I fix this ?

I don't know what might have caused this, but that's got to be due to something else, UltraMon doesn't change any settings related to the Desktop Window Manager.
You could also do a system restore, UltraMon creates a restore point before installation.

Well, appart from installing Ultramon, I did nothing special on my HTPC for weeks or even months. I already tried the restoration point, changed nothing.
Now I'm trying to disable all aero stuff in order to get at least a usable computer. Next time I'll make manual restoration points...

By the way, I forgot to mention my configuration...
I'm running an Athlon 64 single core based computer under Win7 ultimate.

Disabling Aero just made other performances to pop up, what I suspect is in fact that ultramon screwed my ati graphics driver, so now everything is rendered through software and takes a lot of CPU.

If you think the issue is related to the driver I would recommend reinstalling the display driver. UltraMon doesn't change any display driver configuration settings.

I reinstalled the ati driver and catalyst stuff. Reinstalled some 3D apps which were causing performances issues as well. The situation seems to be fairly normal now.
But I still am convinced it is ultramon related. For me it probably has something to do with the mirror stuff, for which I installed ultramon in the first place. Maybe because I'm using VNC with a hook on the video driver as well.

Version 2's mirroring feature used a display mirror driver, but that's no longer the case with version 3 of UltraMon.
