I have 3 monitors. 1 x Dell 1680x1050, 1 x HP 1920x1080 and 1 x Panasonic plasma HDTV.
I have the Dell connected to a 7600GT DVI and the HP as primary monitor connected to a Nvidia G210 DVI. The Panasonic plasama HDTV is connected to the HDMI output on the G210.
When all monitors are connected and powered on the primary monitor becomes the HDTV and the HP becomes monitor 2 with the Dell as monitor 3. I have forced primary for the HP in Ultramon so it shows as monitor 1 but in the ignored monitors dialog it is still shown really monitor 2.
If I turn off the HDTV the HP then becomes monitor 1 for real and the Dell becomes monitor 2.
This would be all well and fine except that if I have a Remote Desktop session running on the Dell and turn off the HDTV the window jumps back to the HP.
Also when I switch the HDTV back on any windows I open, minimize and maximize display on the HDTV instead of the HP which is maddening.
Is there any way to FORCE the Remote Desktop session onto the Dell? Is there any way to FORCE all other apps to stay on the HP no matter if I turn the HDTV off?
