I am running a laptop plus 2 additional monitors. One is through a USB-DVI adapter. Ultramon has worked great, but for some reason today the Start Menu and primary taskbar is stuck on the laptop monitor and not on my middle monitor (which is set as primary). I keep restarting and also closing and starting Ultramon again to to avail. Any help. Thanks.

I'm not sure what would cause this, but UltraMon doesn't control the position of the main taskbar. To fix this, make sure the main taskbar isn't locked (you can change this via right-click on the taskbar), then grab a free area on the taskbar and drag it to the other monitor with the mouse.

This also happened to me after adding another monitor(That for some reason won't go to it's max rez. I wont go into that. God, I hate you sony). I can move it back to the other monitor, but it's essentially unusable unless smart task bar is turned off.
Helps!

Nathan, what kind of issues do you have with the main taskbar if the Smart Taskbar is enabled?

A double taskbar(main + a blank one) on one monitor(main), and one monitor, without one. And the third is just normal.

Are you using version 2 of UltraMon? If yes, right-click the UltraMon taskbar on the main monitor and select Close from the menu to remove it, then right-click the remaining UltraMon taskbar and select 'Add Taskbar for' from the menu to add a new taskbar to the second monitor.

I don't have the "add a taskbar for" option, so I must have version 1. Stubborn WinXP user here, if that makes a difference. But it got rid of the offending double taskbar on the main monitor. And two, out of three, ain't bad. Thanks.

Ignore the previous comment. I just can't follow directions properly. All is now well, in taskbar land. Thanks again.
