Forums -> UltraMon™ -> Can I stretch an application across 2 of 3 monitors?

I currently run 3 monitors at work using a parhelia, and am able to stretch applications across one, or two, or three monitors. I usually have one application across two (visual studio), and another on the the third (outlook).

I want to go to 4 monitors and am looking at buying ultramon, but I haven't seen a definitive answer in your list of features and on the forum to this question:

Can I stretch an application across 2 of 3 monitors? (Or across 2 of 4?)

Thanks!

Jared

There's no built-in support for this, but you can do this with the Maximize2Mon script and a hotkey.

To clarify, there is no automatic way to do it, but I could script it?

Can I use my mouse to manually place the program and stretch the program across 2 monitors, or 1 1/2 monitors even?

Thanks!

There's just no built-in support for this, but all you need to do is set up a hotkey which runs the script via UltraMon Options > Hotkeys, then press the hotkey to maximize the active window to 2 or more monitors.

Stretching a window manually across multiple monitors will also work fine, but this isn't enabled by UltraMon. To do this un-maximize the window first, then resize it as desired.
