Forums -> UltraMon™ -> 3 monitors with EVGA GTX 470 (supports only 2 monitors)

Hi,
I'm running win7 and I have 3 monitors connected to my video card (EVGA GTX 470):
1. Westinghouse 37" LVM-37w3se (my primary)
2. Asus 23" VH236H (my secondary)
3. LG 55" 55LH90 (my TV)
The problem is that even though my Evga has 3 connections on it and I was able to connect all 3 of my monitors, the card itself supports only 2 monitors. That way windows sees all 3 monitors (in the "Screen Resolution" options window), but one of them is always disabled. If I try to enable the 3rd monitor, it auto disables the secondary, etc.
Now the UltraMon it seems is able to see ONLY the enabled monitors. When I try to create a profile, I get only monitors 1 and 2.
My question: is it possible to make UltraMon see the disabled monitor as well(ie: see all 3 monitors). Because without seeing all three monitors, using the profiles is impossible (in my case).
What I want to achieve is 4 profiles:
P1: Westinghouse
P2: Westinghouse + Asus
P3: Westinghouse + LG
P4: LG

Thanks in advance.
If you want any more info, or clarify anything, lemme know.

Currently that's not supported, but you'll be able to do this with the next release, 3.1.0, which will be released later this month.

I am currently running a trial of 3.1.0. I would happily purchase this software if you can help me get 3 monitors working. I was directed to try this SW because it was capable of doing that.

Technically my card only supports 2 monitors, however windows and ultramon see all 3.

When I try to enable monitor 3 in Ultramon it disables the 2nd monitor, just like windows does. I can clone 2/3 in both windows and Ultramon

Thanks for your help!

UltraMon can't help with this, if the video card only supports two monitors at a time this can't be changed. You would need an additional video card if you want to use all 3 monitors at the same time.

Can you suggest video cards that will support three or more monitors?
Christian Studer   2011-10-16 07:32
I can't give you a specific recommendation, but all 3 major manufacturers (ATI/AMD, Nvidia and Matrox) have video cards with support for 3 or more monitors, Matrox even has one with support for 8.
