At work, I have two monitors setup on a Dell OptiPlex system where one video card output uses a splitter cable to each of the monitors. I then use Ultramon so that I can have the smartask bar, maximize and minimize to each monitor, etc.
However, I am at home now and on my own customer computer. I am using a dual DVI out Nvidia (GeForce GTX 260) video card. My primary monitor is a 26 Samsung (native 1920 x 1600) and my new secondary is a 23.6" Samsung (native 1920 x 1080).
I am not certain how to use UltraMon along w/ Nvidia's dual monitor settings so that I can use the features of Ultramon. I've set Nvidia to clone primary monitor to secondary ... with no luck (ultamon only sees one monitor) and I've tried (currently set this way) stretching horizontal in Nvida's settings ... but UltraMon still only see's the one monitor.
Again, the stretching by Nvidia works out pretty well overall. But, what I am wanting to achieve is the use of UltraMon seeing two monitors so I can use SmartTaskBar and also the max and min windows on their respective monitor.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

You'll need to select Dualview mode, this will give you a regular extended desktop.

You need to connect both monitors to the video card before the computer boots up. Otherwise you will not have an option in the nvidia control panel for dualview mode.
