Hi.
We'ew currently working on a project which involves the use of two monitors. One of the are runnnnig some offtime-tv game stuff using directx8.1. If something wrong should happen we dont want anything related to windows to show up on the tv screen. We would like if possible to disable extended desktop but still be able to run a directx application on the secondary.
any help appreciated!
Greetings from Norway

On Windows 2000/XP, DirectX can't be used on independent displays (see Independent Displays for details).
If you don't have any toolbars on the TV, you won't notice anything Windows-related when the DirectX app crashes, I'm pretty sure that the crash dialog will come up on the primary monitor. The only problem is that you can easily drag windows from the primary monitor to the TV.
