A maximise to height button - i.e. doesn't affect the window width, but maximises top to bottom.
Using wide screen monitors I often have the requirement to max the windows go top to bottom, but, being lazy, I tend to hit just the normal maximise button, when I only actually use 1024px of the screen....
Or you could even have "maximise to X by Y resolution" where X & Y are configurable, and hitting your button would make the windows go to that dimension.

I am looking for a triangle monitor configuration tool. I have three 24" monitors on my desk. Two sit side by side while one sits above the two other monitors hence the "triangle" configuration. I would like a tool that will allow me to go side to side to the monitors that sit side by side keeping the monitor up top out of the loop when going side to side. I would like my mouse to access the top monitor from eith side by side screen by simply moving my mouse "up" to that monitor. Basically to make it more "natural" to the way the monitors are laid out.
Not sure if it is possible, but I would buy it!

Mark, thanks for your suggestions, will be considered for a future release. You could already do both things via hotkey and scripts, look for the MaximizeVertically and ResizeWnd scripts.
Brian, you don't need UltraMon for this, just go to Display Properties and change the monitor arrangement so that it matches the physical arrangement of the monitors on your desk, you will then get the desired mouse movement behavior.

Christian - many thanks for the scripts. And, of course, your excellent product!

Ok - I may be being dim, but where do I create a new hotkey/script? I am running the latest version of Ultramon (x64), and under hotkeys, the only option is assign a hotkey to an existing action - not to create a new action.

You'll need to add a hotkey for the 'Run application or script' action, you can then select the script you want to run.
