I installed Internet Explorer 9 yesterday on Windows 7 64-bit and since then Ultramon has been unable to use the smart taskbar. I re-installed my pc today with Windows 7 SP1 64-bit as I was due for a re-install anyway. The following error message comes up whenever I try to enable the smart taskbar. Ultramon seems to continue to run in the tray and allow me to change wallpaper etc
Version: 3.1.0 OS: 6.1.7600 x64 Source File: .\DeskTaskBarManage.cpp Line: 212 Return Value: -2147287035 Last error: 5
Let me know of anything I can do to debug the error, setting the combatility mode to Windows 7 or Windows Vista doesn't stop the issue. I installed Ultramon straight after a reboot from installing all updates, drivers, IE9 with no other problems installed

The error means that the UltraMon taskbar was denied access to a configuration file.
To fix this, go to the folder C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Realtime Soft\UltraMon\<version> and delete the file TaskbarBandState. The UltraMon taskbar will then try to recreate the file when launched the next time.
If this fails, right-click the folder, select Properties from the menu, then select the Security tab and make sure your user account has full control over the folder.
